BetMGM Launches $1,500 First-Bet Protection for Eagles-Bears Monday Night Football Action

BetMGM is offering new customers a first-bet protection promotion for the Eagles-Bears Monday night matchup, providing up to $1,500 in bonus bets if their initial wager loses. The offer is accessible through the operator's CBSSPORTS promo code during the sign-up process.

How first-bet protection works. This type of promotion allows new bettors to place their first bet with a safety net: if that wager loses, the sportsbook credits an equivalent amount in bonus bets (up to the stated maximum). For players placing a $1,500 opening bet on Eagles-Bears lines, a loss would convert into $1,500 in bonus credits rather than an outright loss of funds.

Entering the promotion. Qualifying new users must input the CBSSPORTS code at registration to activate the offer. The promotion is tied specifically to this Week 3 matchup, making it timely for those looking to build or test their sportsbook experience through primetime NFL action.

Strategic considerations. A first-bet protection offer typically appeals to new bettors or those transitioning between operators, since the safety net reduces the risk of an initial wager on an unfamiliar platform. On a high-profile Monday night game between two division rivals, this promotion provides additional cushion for larger bets that might otherwise require careful bankroll management.

Operator landscape. BetMGM's offer joins multiple competing promotions from FanDuel and other operators, reflecting the competitive nature of the sportsbook industry around major televised events. New customers have multiple pathways to claim promotional value, each with different terms and bonus structures. Reviewing the full terms of any promotion is essential before committing funds.
