Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how OddsShift ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you use our website, content, and services (the "Service"). We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information — the email address and password you provide when you sign up. Passwords are stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider; we never see or store them in plaintext.
  • Subscription and billing information — when you subscribe, our payment processor (Stripe) collects and processes your payment details. We do not receive or store your full card number; we receive limited information such as your subscription status, plan, billing country, and the last four digits and card brand.
  • Bet-tracking and usage data — picks or parlays you choose to track, and information about how you interact with the Service, such as pages viewed and features used.
  • Communications — information you provide when you contact us for support or reply to our emails.
  • Technical and device data — information automatically collected when you access the Service, such as IP address, browser type, device and operating system, referring pages, and timestamps, collected through server logs and cookies or similar technologies.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the legal gambling age.

2. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • create and manage your account and provide the Service;
  • process subscriptions, payments, and renewals, and prevent fraud and abuse;
  • track and grade the picks you choose to follow and build your personal record;
  • send you service-related communications, such as welcome, billing, cancellation, and security messages;
  • respond to your support requests;
  • operate, secure, maintain, analyze, and improve the Service;
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We rely on your consent, the performance of our contract with you, our legitimate business interests, and compliance with legal obligations as the bases for these uses, as permitted under applicable law.

3. Marketing communications

We may send you emails about your account and, where permitted, about features, offers, or updates. You can opt out of non-essential marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us. We will still send you essential service and transactional messages related to your account.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the Service, namely with the service providers below, who are authorized to use it only to perform services for us:

  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
  • Supabase — database and authentication (account storage).
  • Vercel — website hosting and delivery.
  • Resend — sending transactional and service emails.
  • Sports-data and odds providers — supplying the underlying sports and odds data (these providers do not receive your personal information).

We may also disclose information where required to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or lawful request; to enforce our Terms; to protect the rights, safety, or property of OddsShift, our users, or others; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honour this Policy.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, secure the Service, and understand how it is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the Service works. For more detail, see our Cookie Policy.

6. International transfers

Some of our service providers store or process information on servers located outside your province or outside Canada, including in the United States. As a result, your information may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions, including lawful access by courts, law enforcement, and regulatory authorities there. We take reasonable steps to ensure your information receives a comparable level of protection wherever it is processed.

7. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law. Account information is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward; billing records are retained as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct or update inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • ask us to delete your account and associated personal information, subject to legal retention requirements;
  • withdraw consent to certain processing, understanding this may limit your ability to use the Service;
  • ask questions or make a complaint about how we handle your information.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at oddsshift@gmail.com. We will respond within the time required by law and may need to verify your identity first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your provincial privacy regulator.

10. Children

The Service is intended only for people who are of legal gambling age in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age. If you believe someone under the legal age has provided us with information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Policy here with a new "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.

12. Contact
