Week 4 Sportsbooks Roll Out Fresh Sign-Up Offers

The major online sportsbooks are competing aggressively for new customers during Week 4 of the NFL season, with platforms like DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, bet365, Caesars, Fanatics Sportsbook, and Hard Rock Bet all offering sign-up incentives. These promotional offers—which can total nearly $3,000 across multiple sportsbooks for a new user hitting all the qualifying platforms—represent the standard approach book operators take to acquire customers during high-traffic football weeks.

How promotions work. Most sportsbooks structure their welcome offers as either matched deposits, risk-free first bets, or free bet credits once an initial wager is placed. The total value a bettor can accumulate depends on how many different platforms they're willing to join and how they structure their opening action. While the headline numbers sound large, they're spread across many separate apps rather than delivered as a lump sum.

Why it matters. For casual bettors and newcomers to sports betting, comparing these offers can make Week 4 an economical entry point. For experienced bettors, the size of available promos can influence which platforms get priority attention. Each sportsbook naturally wants to be the first place someone creates an account, knowing that habit and interface familiarity drive long-term engagement.

The reality behind the numbers. It's important to note that promotional credits typically come with terms—minimum odds requirements, betting volume thresholds, or sport restrictions. Reading the fine print on any offer is essential before depositing real money. The competitive landscape among major sportsbooks has made these promotions more generous in recent years, but they remain designed to generate long-term customer value for the books, not short-term profits for bettors.
